UEFA have made an absolute pig’s ear of the Champions League draw, with Manchester United fans launching “RIGGED” accusations on social media.
Paris Saint-Germain were one of the teams in the draw for the knockout stages of the competition that everyone would have wanted to avoid, such is the strength of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
Man United were the side unfortunate enough to be drawn alongside them, but unfairly so, it appears.
As Atletico Madrid’s name was pulled out of the bucket, Man United were NOT put into the draw to be their potential opponents, wrongly so.
You can’t convince me this isn’t rigged.pic.twitter.com/W2rDtzkYRG

It definitely looks like #mufc’s ball – in the second pot from the right, back row – was not included in the Atletico Madrid draw. pic.twitter.com/ubxQHdjkQV

I just don’t see how they can’t do a redraw? The whole world has evidence it was an invalid draw. Can’t have UEFA doing that

Ralf Rangnick’s men were later matched up with PSG, staging the ideal Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo storyline from UEFA’s perspective.
Is it rigged, or is it an honest mistake? Either way, SURELY they can’t allow this draw to stand?
Man United have been put up against one of the tournament favourites when, if the draw was done properly, they may well have had alternate opponents.
